Tom Da Lips Hits The Top 10 With T.E.D.
What a Summer it has been for International touring saxophonist and producer, Tom Da Lips. With guest appearances throughout Europe including stand out performances for SIN Sundays at Ocean Beach in Ibiza and along the Adriatic coast in Hvar, Croatia, Tom prepared for the season ahead having spent the latter stages of Spring locked in the studio to work on some fresh original material that would follow up “Innocence”, his collaboration with Underground House music producer Josh Butler on the legendary Strictly Rhythm imprint.
A production that came together during this creative period titled “T.E.D.” was signed to Nervous Records NYC, another notable US based record label who instantly fell in love with the track. Founded in 1991, Nervous is a label that is known throughout the DJ world & beyond for being the home to house hold artists such as Masters At Work, Mood II Swing, Armand Van Helden and Josh Wink amongst many others.
Released as an exclusive promo on both Beatport & Traxsource, just in time for a huge bank holiday weekend in the UK, “T.E.D.” was featured within the Traxsource weekly Hype Chart which helped contribute towards as steady rise up the House music genre league table with the single peaking at number 7. Over at Beatport, the track was featured in their Best New House feature and so far, has reached number 17 in the House music download sales chart.
Tom explains “For my first solo release, I can’t believe how well it has been received. It’s amazing to see the track feature alongside House music hero’s such as CamelPhat, Carl Cox & Route 94 within the download store charts and I’d like to thank everyone for their support”.
Nervous Records NYC founder Michael Weiss adds “Congratulations to UK producer Tom Da Lips. His debut release on Nervous “T.E.D.” has now gone top 10 at Traxsource and top 20 over at Beatport in both House charts respectively. Well deserved. This is a premium house jam with a smooth but still jammin’ horn section that don’t quit!”
A big family guy at heart, “T.E.D.” also holds a great amount of sentimental value to his family with the track notably named after his son. Keep an eye out for the music video which reflects the daily balance Tom enjoys between his work as an artist and his life at home.
The promo from “T.E.D.” is available to download right now from Beatport and Traxsource. The full release will follow on Friday 29th September 2017 when you’ll be able to download from iTunes and stream on Apple Music & Spotify amongst many others. The single will also feature on a forthcoming Nervous Records NYC’s Amsterdam Dance Event compilation album, due for release in October.
